| About OHL
OHL was established in 1995 to reduce the high school drop-out rate. When compared to New York City, the Rochester City School District (RCSD) has one of the highest drop-out rates of student suspension and the lowest ratio of college-bound graduates.
Nearly 3 out of every 10 high school students graduate with two or more years over the standard age of graduating students and fewer than 75% of each class of 9th graders ever graduate from high school.
Mission Statement
To develop and implement supportive intervention opportunities for students identified as being at risk of dropping out of school. Operation Higher Learning, Inc. does this to make sure that these students will graduate from high school and will be ready and prepared to enter post-secondary education and the workforce.
Vision Statement
Operation Higher Learning, Inc. will provide leadership and resources to ensure that students and their families who are at risk will achieve academic and personal excellence, post-secondary education and enter the workforce as highly competent young adults.
